Moving from Maple? Here's how to bring your household to Convivo
Maple has announced it will shut down on December 31, 2026, and that its data will be deleted after that date. If your family ran on Maple, here's an honest look at whether Convivo fits, and how to move.
What carries over well
- Your calendar. If your events live in Google Calendar or Outlook, connect it in Convivo and they appear alongside everything else.
- Lists and to-dos. Paste a shopping list straight in (one item per line), or fill in the to-do spreadsheet template under Settings → Import.
- Chores and repeating things. Weekly, monthly, seasonal, every N days: tick it and it moves to the next time.
- Meals. Recipes and a meal plan live in their own section.
- Family details. A care sheet for each child or pet, and a sitter pass that shows only what a babysitter needs.
What's different
- No AI assistant. Convivo deliberately keeps your household's information away from AI services. Quick add still understands plain words — “Soccer Sat 9am for Max” — by fixed rules.
- More of the household. Bills and shared costs, home maintenance and contractors, trips, notes and a private health area sit next to the calendar and lists.
- Private until shared. Each person's things start private; you choose what the rest of the household sees.
Moving in an evening
- Before December 31, open Maple and copy out anything that isn't also in your Google or Outlook calendar: lists, notes, chores, contacts.
- Create your Convivo household and run the five-minute setup (who lives with you, your home, pets, cars).
- Connect Google or Outlook under Settings → Connected accounts.
- Paste lists in, or use the spreadsheet templates under Settings → Import for lots of rows at once.
- Invite your partner when you're ready.

Questions
- When does Maple shut down?
- Maple announced it will shut down on December 31, 2026, after being acquired by Wander. Its announcement says your data stays available until then and is deleted afterwards, so move it before the end of December.
- Can Convivo import my Maple data directly?
- Not directly: Maple hasn't published an export format. Calendar events that live in Google or Outlook come across by connecting that calendar, and lists and dates can be pasted in or filled into Convivo's spreadsheet import templates.
- Is Convivo free?
- Convivo is free during the private beta. A Free plan stays free after it; Plus, for bigger households, will be priced before the beta ends.
- Does Convivo use AI like Maple's assistant?
- No. Convivo deliberately doesn't send your household's information to any AI service. Quick add understands plain words like “Dentist Tues 3pm for Lucy” by fixed rules, and photo scanning reads the text on your own phone.
- Is there a Convivo app for my phone?
- Convivo works in any browser on a phone or computer, and adds to an iPhone or Android home screen like an app. App Store and Google Play apps are planned for early 2027.
